The Power Of Faith

The Power of Faith

“There is no power, like the Power of Faith that is derived from knowing Jesus is Lord.”

In our world of many backgrounds, cultures, religions, faith, and non-faiths, we are very diverse in our beliefs. However, many of us share some points, thoughts, and beliefs that are similar. That is the privilege of living in America. This is why we have added The Power of Faith and faith subjects.

Our thought here on Life Chats is to give you what we know and have experienced ourselves. You may not understand or believe that someone has different thoughts than you. That is okay, but we are all living in a world where inspiration is needed to heal us when we cannot find our way. This happens to all of creation. Life is uncertain, and pain and death are definitely a part of life.

We are not here to persuade you to do, feel, trust, or make this what you need. However, having experienced The Power of Faith, we believe it can help anyone who desires to believe.

Can This Be An Easy Process?

It is often easy for someone like me to believe, as I have known it for so long. My father was a minister, and I went to church at least three times a week during my childhood.

It was what I knew from the very beginning of my life. Have I ever failed God? Yes, I have failed in my ability to live what I believed in more than one time in my life. However, my faith is that God is a forgiving, merciful, patient, and loving Savior.

Many people who practice some kind of faith, religion, or Christianity, learned it in their youth. Some change as their beliefs about life change. However, once you have accepted that there is a power greater than anything on this earth, you never lose that knowledge.

To Know The Power of Faith, One Must Have Faith.  Faith Is The Way To God?

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of thing not seen.” The Bible – Hebrews 11: 1 (KJV)

It is simply that to have faith one must believe in something that they cannot see, and only the Spirit of Jesus can give you that knowledge.

You have faith inside you…

If you think about this for a minute, you will realize that you, yes you, have faith. Every day that you leave your home to go to work, the grocery store, to pick up the kids from school, and wherever you go each day, faith is there.

How, you might say? Well, as you know not any of us know if we will live through another moment or another day. Actually, most of the time we do not think one way or the other…

We do not know if while we are traveling in our daily routine if we will make it to our destination. Will we see our children in the evening when they come home? Who knows?

That is how we have and exercise our faith every day. We have faith that we will live to get back home and with our family when the day is done.

There Are Many Examples of Faith

There are many examples of faith that occupies our life that is often forgotten about, or many will not admit to. Faith is actually everywhere and it is the most wonderful feeling to believe in a spiritual power that can provide us with the safety that we need in our life.

Yes, we believe in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. So, our faith is very strong because we have seen it work in our lives in ways that tell us there is Power in Faith and Jesus’ love.

We also believe that God made the world and all that is within and we know through faith there is no other power that could accomplish what exists within the universe.

Where there is no Faith, there is no Hope.

If and where there is no Hope, there is Loss.

When you get to the state of losing what you love the most, you will know that FAITH is what gives us LOVE and HOPE to journey on.

We believe that one day everyone will know, believe, and see that The Power of Faith is “really,” real.

To Have Faith- We Must Seek God

We must repent, ask forgiveness of our sins, and believe that He, Jesus Christ lived and died and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins.  How to be saved –  Here is more on that subject.

So many people do not live in harmony with their beliefs. They may have believed one time in their life but altered their life to fit the moment.

Why Is It Important To Keep In Touch With Our Faith?

When we seek God, it is often not until we are stressed, worn, and torn, and facing something we cannot master ourselves. Why?  It seems we are too busy, too often, and then we are desperate for His mercy because we have omitted constant contact with Him.

There is assurance in believing, and there is hope in believing. Without a doubt in my mind, there is a life well lived in believing.

When we finally decide we need to seek, meditate, pray, or communicate with this higher power, we often have to wait. Just like He has waited for us to seek Him. This is not because He is merciless but because we may have a need to ask forgiveness first. If we have been negligent toward him, we know what is needed.

He should be the first choice in our life, every day, not just when we feel the pain of loss, love, and agony in any life situation.

We must learn to keep in touch with our Lord, and Savior as much as we can, as prayer is what keeps us in contact with Him. Very often we get in a hurry with our daily prayers and pray on the run. In the car, when we lie down at night, and while doing something else.

Prayer Is An Essential Part of Spirituality and Faith

Prayer is not for just when we need something. Prayer is to keep us walking in the light of salvation and knowing His will for our life. Faith is not just for when we have a loss that is hard to bear or understand; it is something that is always needed to give our life, love, and hope.

From the Psalms, David:

“I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

“The poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.”

“O fear the Lord, ye his saints:  for there is no want to them that fear him.”

“The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”

“O taste and see that the Lord is good:  blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

Psalms 34: 4,6 -9 (KJV)

The Lord Is Never Slack With His Promises

Here we see that the Lord is not slack concerning his promises to hear those that are faithful and reach out to him. Yes, we sometimes question why we are hurting or suffering for what seems like an eternity.

It is not His will for us to suffer or hurt, yet there are times that we must until; He says it is “enough.”  When He is ready to deliver; He delivers and it is done with recourse.  That is what makes chills run down the spine because when He says it, it is done.  The hurt subsides, life rushes back to existence and we see hope.

We can go through trial after trial, but when He looks down in His infinite mercy and reaches down his hand to us, we know who it is. When He looks into the heart that is tired and we have touched the hem of His garment with our prayers…we know who lifted the burden.  The relief is astounding and we praise the One who died for us.

In This Chapter of Psalms; David gives this admonition:

“Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.  The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.”  Psalms 34: 14,15

We are not where God wants us to be sometimes, therefore, when we cry, first we have to repent for our lack of being where we need to be.  Walking, perhaps afar off like the children of Israel.  We can’t expect Him to answer when we call if we are walking at a far distance and only hanging on by a thread.

The scripture gives us expectations for a life that is pleasing to Jesus. He is there for us, but not “just when we need Him, only.”  He wants us to be faithful…all the time.

“The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

“He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.”

Psalms 34: 17 -20

In Closing

We have every promise as the seed of Abraham, but we have a duty as well to be in a position to call upon Him and expect His deliverance.  If we are walking afar off, we know that we are the one who has failed; not the Lord.

Lord, help us to pray and stay in your will for our life.

The Power of Faith …  We Must Seek God and Pray to fully understand how faith can benefit us in life.
