Keep The Faith

Keep The Faith

Keep The Faith- Stand Strong and Keep the Faith- trust Him and Believe in His Words

When reading my morning scripture I was reminded that wavering in doubt, fear, and worry is not what Jesus has outlined for the Christian life. In fact, we are out of the will of God, when we slip into doubt, and fear, and start to question the Word of God and why we are allowed to go through trials. If you could hear his voice speaking to you; it would definitely say: “Stand Strong and Keep the Faith.

Life can sometimes present a pattern of heartbreak, unhappiness, illness, financial despair, and life things that astound us. Most of us know that even professionals tell us that; “life is unfair.” It seems that each family has certain things to cope with, endure, and often live with their entire life.

We Must Not Slip Into Doubt

We often slip into doubt because of our own lack of perseverance to take God at his word and slip into a state of disbelief.  Sometimes we complain, waver, slip, and we forget that the trial of our faith worketh patience. It is not easy, it sometimes takes our breath away, however, it does not mean that God does not love us and knows what is going on.

When We Doubt- When we get to this point of questioning, wavering, and disbelief, we should remember this:

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But, let him ask in faith, NOTHING WAVERING. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1: 2-7 KJV

Divers Temptation – trials, suffering, poverty, calamity, humiliation, and diseases that take life away, and often all of what appears to be unjustified.

We forget that to experience the fullness of Jesus Christ, we must take him at his word.  Even though it is sometimes hard to keep believing when it seems the answers do not come to us as we feel necessary. And, when do not receive the healing that we know we need, often the answers are not easy to bear. It is often hard to keep steady in faith when we are tested with guilt. We should remind ourselves of what God says in-

” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

IN ADDITION, and more importantly:

“Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” James 1: 13, 14

Jesus sees what is behind us, what is before us, and the in-between. He knows our strengths and our weaknesses. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit know just how much we are suffering, and how much we can bear. They know that we are dust and he knows that some things do not have the answers we want to hear.

Let me remind you of this scripture….

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.”(Meaning our body). 11 Corinthians 4: 8-11.

It is hard to accept and be joyful about certain aspects of life. When we see children dying of cancer, men, and women being gunned down by the wicked, and so much strife within the human race. There seems to be no good answer. However, Jesus knows the reasons and understands our pain and frustration. He is forever, and always paying attention to what we need.

The point of this post and these scriptures is to give you the courage to keep your faith. Stay steadfast, and know that God always knows where you are. He knows what is going on in your life and he will provide peace for you.

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:18

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11
