Daily Devotional-Practicing More Gratitude -Happy Holiday Weekend-Memorial Day, 

“Saturday is here, my dear friends, and what a blessed day it is! For many, today marks the start of the weekend—a time of rest, reflection, and positive experiences.

This is also a holiday weekend and many are traveling. Some to see family, others just for pleasure and getting away. It is also a time for reflection and what can increase your blessings of life.

Gratitude-What Is it?

Gratitude is a beautiful and transformative emotion that arises when we recognize and appreciate the positive aspects of our lives. It’s more than just saying “thank you”; it’s a deep sense of thankfulness that permeates our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Here are some key points about gratitude:

1. Awareness: Gratitude begins with being aware of the blessings, kindness, and positive experiences we encounter daily. It’s about noticing the small things—a warm cup of coffee, a smile from a stranger, or a beautiful sunset—and feeling thankful for them.

2. Take the time to be more mindful of how you can embrace your family, friends, and the new people that you meet. Someone may need your attention and just 15 minutes of your time.

3. Ask yourself if you are a person who listens to others who may also need your attention. Try being a better listener. Empathy goes a long way when someone may be feeling down.

4. Do you take the time to say thank you to the people closest to you? Does your spouse bring you a cup of coffee and do you give them a “thank you?”

5. Peaceful living comes when you take the time to count your blessings. Take the time to reflect by making yourself a journal of the simple things that we often ignore. Many individuals in the world lack the simple, everyday things that help us survive.
