My Lord Keeps A Record
My Lord Keeps A Record is not about disrespect…
for anyone’s salvation…it is just a reminder that the Lord knows the intentions of our hearts…always

“My Lord keeps a record of each moment I’m living down here. He knows all about me, all my troubles, my sorrows, my fears. I’m living each moment through the mercy of God’s loving grace, some day he will call me, to that wonderful, beautiful, marvelous place.”
I am sure you recognize the lyrics of this song. I had not thought of this song in years, but all of sudden it came to my mind as I started this post. He knows all about us, he understands us, and he knows where we need to improve.
He gives us all things possible to help; love, grace, the Word, blessings, prayer, faith, and much more. He even tells us how to pray, when we need to pray, (keep a prayer on our lips and in our hearts), and what is acceptable and what is not.
He knows all things, those things that are good and profitable, but also those things that we lack in wisdom and understanding. It is often hard for us to mention that we are lacking in anything, (most of us), however as humans, and Christians we know that we must grow in the knowledge and wisdom of Christ every day.
If we are to reap the forever blessing that this song includes at the end of our journey, we must reach out to make sure our record is what is in line with the Word of God.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
Good Intentions Are Not Always Enough
10 Intensions To Set For a More Authentic Life
“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.” Proverbs 21:2
The Other Side of the Coin
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
What Should We Do To Try To Improve?
We should hum the chorus again to My Lord Keeps a Record, or, are we just going to silently ask the Lord’s forgiveness and go on? The latter is usually what we do.
My Prayer:
“Lord help me to turn my weakest link into that which is pleasing to you. Lord show me what I might be overlooking, and let me make things right.”
EndNote:
Some individuals want to say; well what is right for you might not be what is right for me. Hold on, please…. If we call ourselves Christians and a servant of the Lord, we cannot have that conversation. We must live according to the word. There is no in-between.
Lovingly and partners in Christ,
