Healing a Broken Heart-I Know a Man Who Can

Healing A Broken Heart-I Know a Man Who Can post updated 01-15-2024

Today is just another day that Jesus has proven He can heal a broken heart, help you to recover, and be made whole. Whatever the reason for your broken heart, it doesn’t matter. He knows all about it, He can give peace and joy where there is sorrow and pain. Let me tell you, friend, I Know a Man Who Can.  As you will notice this post was originally written before my son’s death.

My son passed away on January 01, 2019. Yes, on New Year’s Day. It was the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to my husband and me. However, he is at peace and has no more pain. The hurt does not go away, it becomes more bearable. The thoughts do not leave, nor do the memories and the love keeps on growing.

Most days I look at his photo and tell him I love him. He knew I loved him, and he knew that all I ever wanted for him was peace, contentment, and joy.

When Life Turns A Page Unexpected

This post begins with a question. Have you ever stopped to think just how blessed you are in your life? I am asking this to myself as I write this, as I need to remind myself that regardless of what I am confronting, right now, I am blessed. I cannot change my circumstances at the moment, however, I know a man who can. I will post the song below.

If this post seems out of whack, it probably is; forgive me as things have not been normal for a while now.

You see my son has brain cancer. It started as Adenocarcinoma – starts in cells that make mucus. It is usually found in the outer parts of your lungs. However, it had spread to his brain, and he had a mass on his side. He had decided not to take treatments at this time. There are four masses in his brain.

It is very hard to think of how blessed I am when my only child will die unless God performs a miracle. He could, and He can. I do believe that, however, I also know that God knows much more than I do about the present, the future, and all things. My thoughts are not his thoughts.

Yes, I believe in miracles. I cannot do anything but pray, and try to help him live the rest of his life with hope and peace. The doctors cannot perform miracles, they can through God do great things, but I know a man who can.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55:8

Life In General

There is so much hurt within our lives and it does at times endanger our peace, even our peace within knowing the Lord. It seems that part of the world has lost all connection with what is right, and what is wrong, and often it feels as if no one cares about what is the truth.

There is no more consciousness about judging another soul, and being merciful as to how another person reacts to life. It seems to be that most people see only what they want to see, be it right or wrong.

There is suffering in the world we live in, and it is worse than it has ever been. There are broken hearts, broken lives, broken spirits, and broken homes. Some people are hungry, without clothing, without medical care, and without a place to call home.

Some People Try To See Another As They Would Want To Be Seen In The Same Circumstances

Some people spend their life working for the better good of people like those mentioned. I cannot name them all here, but one famous was Mother Theresa. I want to be one of these individuals. Seeing the good in everyone, or at least having compassion, is being like the Man-Jesus who can heal a broken heart.

These are people who care about why an individual does not conform to certain standards, not so much what they do, but why they act, react, or live the way they do. They do so without judgment. They realize that all people have not had the same quality of life to help them perform differently.

Not one person can know what their life would have been like in different circumstances. Sometimes people stray from their beliefs and venture too far from the God who made them. They try to fly too high, too long, too hard, and then wind up over the top, or at the top, not knowing exactly how to deal with what they have found up there.

What Is Our Moral Duty?

When we see broken lives scrambling to survive, it is a moral duty to at least have a kind word, a pat on the back, and sincere prayer. They do not have to be hungry or homeless. It can simply be a wounded spirit. Often a wounded spirit can be a detrimental place to be, especially when it has lasted for a while.

No, I cannot heal the world, nor can anyone but God. That is a reality, and that is the truth. However, we can try to be more understanding and kind.

Life’s Blessings Are Always Present and Jesus Loves You and Me…he will never forsake you and read this: 19 ways to heal a broken heart.

When Jesus was teaching His disciples these were His Words:

Luke 6: 20.21

20-And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed, be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

21-Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

My life is blessed and always will be if I keep my trust in His Words, and so is yours. It does not matter what any of us are facing at the moment. How, can I say this? Because we have been protected, watched over, fed when hungry, clothed when we needed to be.

There is not a moment when God does not see our needs. One may think they are taking care of themselves all by their own will. However, without the profound God of the universe; we would be helpless.

If you are broken, if you are saddened, if you are in trouble and feel alone; put your hand in the hand of the man who can heal, protect, and love you beyond measure.
