God is In Every Season of Life

God Is In Every Season of Life
You may think that you are traveling down this long stretch of disappointment, worry, or pain. However, the first thing to remember is that God is there with you. You are not alone, disregarded, or lost. His hands are ready to reach down and pick you up at a moment’s notice. He is there when you need Him most.
Life unfolds in seasons, some joyful and full of light, others quiet, uncertain, or painfully hard. Just as nature moves through spring, summer, autumn, and winter, our lives move through seasons of growth, abundance, transition, and waiting. The comforting truth is this: God is present in every one of them.
God in the Seasons of Joy
There are seasons when life feels vibrant and full—prayers seem answered, doors open, and hope feels natural. In these moments, God reminds us to rejoice with gratitude and humility.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights…”
— James 1:17 (KJV)
These seasons are not meant to make us self-reliant, but God-aware, recognizing that blessings are not accidents but expressions of His goodness. When we are down, we often forget the best things in life, and that is God’s love and His mercy. Nothing good comes from any other source, as stated above in James 1:17.
God in the Seasons of Waiting
Some seasons feel still. Progress is slow. Answers seem delayed. Yet waiting seasons are never wasted seasons. God often works quietly beneath the surface, strengthening faith and shaping character.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…”
— Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
When nothing seems to be happening, God is often doing His deepest work within us. It is not easy to wait sometimes, as we get into a hurry and want to see what we need unfold. However, waiting is often a lesson we need to learn and realize that God sees the now, the future, and what each will bring. It waits for the perfect season to show us what is best.
God in the Seasons of Hardship
Painful seasons can make us question God’s presence, but Scripture assures us He is closest when life feels heaviest.
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart…”
— Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
There is not a human who is alive who has not experienced hardship. These scriptures state that:
“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9
God does not abandon us in sorrow. He walks with us through it, offering comfort, wisdom, and strength that only He can give.
God in the Seasons of Change
Transitions, new beginnings, endings, and unexpected turns can be unsettling. Yet God remains constant even when everything else changes.
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
— Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
Seasons may shift, but God’s faithfulness does not. There are times when we need to change our perspective on the situation we are in. Changes come to life for a purpose many time even when we cannot see it. When we think that our life depends upon a certain answer, God probably knows that answer might not reflect what we really need. What we lost may have been for the salvation of our souls, and the purpose only God knows.
A Closing Reflection
Whatever season you are in today, joyful, uncertain, painful, or hopeful, God is there. He is not waiting for a “better” season to love you, guide you, or use your life. He meets you where you are.
Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You in every season of my life. Teach me to see Your hand at work even when the path is unclear. Thank You for never leaving me, no matter the season. Amen.
