Enter The Door That Leads to Life

Enter The Door That Leads to Life – Jesus is that door

Life is filled with open and closed doors, opportunities, challenges, and choices. But only one door matters for eternity; Jesus Christ is that door. He offers salvation not through our goodness, but by grace through faith. And that door won’t stay open forever.

He said it plainly, with no room for confusion…

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved…” John 10:9 (KJV)
“No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”  John 14:6 (KJV)

Yet in today’s world, many are convinced there are many ways to get there. That all “good people” go to Heaven. That faith is optional. But Scripture doesn’t back that up, and truth isn’t based on popular opinion.

All Doors Don’t Lead to Life

We walk through many doors in this life, some that promise happiness, others that lead to regret. But when it comes to eternal life, there is only one way: through Jesus Christ. Not by being good enough. Not by religion, rituals, or positivity. Only by faith in the One who laid down His life and rose again.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate, because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:13-14, (KJV)

God has made the way simple, but the path is narrow. When accepting God’s call to repentance, you are not there yet. You still have to live in a world of turmoil and must live a life that is pleasing to Him.

The Door Won’t Stay Open Forever

This is where urgency matters. Many think, “I’ll come to Jesus later,” or “I’ve got time to figure things out.” But we’re not guaranteed tomorrow. The parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25) reminds us; when the door was shut, it was shut for good.

Something very important to remember:  God draws people to himself, and this drawing is not a forceful or coercive act, but rather a loving and gracious invitation. According to John 6:44, no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them. *This will be addressed in another post.

“When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without; saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us, he shall answer and say, I know you not.”
(Luke 13:25 27, KJV)

Grace, Not Works

The good news is that we don’t have to earn our way in. Jesus paid the price already. The door is not opened by good deeds; it is opened by grace through faith.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”  Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)

This gift is free. But it must be accepted, and you must realize that you have a path to follow ahead. One cannot forget that after accepting the gift of God, your life must reflect that His Spirit abides in you, by your actions, reactions, understanding, patience, and love. The Fruit of the Spirit must be how we measure up after God’s Grace.

The Fruit of The Spirit

Everything changes. How you live each day, and what you think about when you wake up in the morning. Praising Him for dying on the cross for your sins. Forgiving someone who may have hurt you deeply. Striving to learn more about the path that will lead to “Eternal Life.”

All questions you may have about this “new” life within you can be found in the Bible, The Word of God. No, you may not find all of your answers all at the beginning, but when you seek knowledge, wisdom, and more grace; James 4:8: “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.”

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.”  Romans 8:9 (KFV)

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” Galatians 5:22 (KJV)

Lead Others to the Door

If you’ve already entered this Door, you have the privilege of pointing others toward it. Don’t stay silent in a world filled with noise and deception. The joy of Heaven is real, and so is the heartbreak of eternal separation.

Let your life and words say: “Come. The door is still open. Walk through it while there’s still time.”

Final Thoughts

If you’re unsure whether you’ve entered that Door, pause now. Ask yourself: Do I know Jesus as my Savior, or do I just know about Him?  Have you formed an opinion from watching someone else’s life? Do not dwell on another person’s life that is not positive. You are responsible for yourself and for living the life that He has planned for you. Yes, He, God the Father and His Son, Jesus, has a plan for you.

If you’re confident in your salvation, rejoice and share. If you’re unsure, the Door is open now.
