Daily Devotional: Peace in the Midst of Chaos
Daily Devotional: Peace in the Midst of Chaos

Scripture (KJV)
John 16:33
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Devotional Thought
We are living in times where uncertainty seems constant. News changes by the hour, opinions clash, and the noise of the world can feel overwhelming. It is easy to feel unsettled… even fearful.
But Jesus never promised a life free from chaos—He promised peace in the middle of it.
Notice His words carefully:
“In me ye might have peace.”
Peace is not found in the world becoming calmer.
Peace is found in drawing closer to Him.
When everything around you feels unstable, God remains unshaken.
When voices grow louder, His voice remains steady.
When circumstances shift, His truth does not change.
The chaos around you does not have to become the chaos within you.
You can choose stillness.
You can choose trust.
You can choose to anchor your heart in something eternal rather than temporary.
Today, instead of absorbing everything happening around you, pause…
Breathe…
And remind yourself:
Daily Focus
- Limit the noise—step away from what unsettles your spirit
- Spend a few quiet moments in prayer or Scripture
- Refocus your thoughts on what is true, not what is fearful
Prayer
Father,
In a world that feels uncertain and overwhelming, help me find my peace in You. Quiet my mind when it begins to race and steady my heart when fear tries to rise. Remind me that You are still on the throne and that nothing escapes Your control. Teach me to trust You more deeply each day.
Amen.
Closing Reflection
Peace is not the absence of trouble…
It is the presence of God in the middle of it.
