Christ’s Love Will Sustain You When You Have Your Trust In Him!

A personal experience …updated 05-29-2024

There are so many promises in the Bible. If we lived by each promise our life would be so much better. Today, my thought went to how we battle our battles, and how important it is to remember to step back and “let Jesus” do His work in us.

Life in the realm of a chaotic world is often hard for everyone, and that includes us Christians. We experience the vicissitudes of life just like everyone else. However, we have the Lord’s promise that there is nothing that can separate us from His love. The Holy Bible tells us there is nothing we will ever experience that is not common to man.

How To Fight Those Things Which Seem Not Fair In Life

So, how do we accomplish a peaceful feeling in a Godly way when the ugly part of life takes the front stage? It is not always easy to do what we should do or read about what we should do. Being humans, we hurt, and wonder why certain life things have to come to us. No, we do not want this to happen to anyone, but when it does happen to us, we certainly view things differently.

Not all of our pain is caused by our actions.

My Son’s Cancer

When my son had cancer, it was not my fault, but one starts to think about what could have been done before now. It was hard for me to hear the doctor say what she thought it was when I took him for X-rays.

When his full diagnosis came in, Small-cell carcinoma, it again was frightening. You lose the excitement of life, and the peacefulness is gone. However, after a month or so when he went back and had the brain test, hearing that he had tumors on his brain was even worse, and even more like the end.

To be honest, now I can truthfully say that, I froze. I changed forever, my thoughts, my emotions, my attitude toward life, and everything about me changed. Yes, depression filled my life.

Those words are so cold, that they seem to say “It’s over.”  They seem to say, all hope is gone, especially since he decided not to take treatment.

However, just so you know, my son’s soul was saved, and had he not had the disease, he might not have made it into heaven. So, rest assured, all was not lost.

The Bible Promises Comfort

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to beat it.” 1 Corinthians 10: 13 (KJV)

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”

”Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35, 39

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations (manifold temptations-AMS-version): v 3 knowing this, that the trying of faith worketh patience.” James 1: 2, 3

As we search for answers to set our minds at ease, we need to remember these blessed scriptures. These verses tell us that we are human, common men and women, and they then tell us that the Lord will go before us, and help us to bear the temptation and give us an escape.

We are to make a choice and to have joy as these manifold temptations test our faith and will create more patience. We are told that nothing can separate us from the love and peace of God, which passeth all understanding.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understand, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Now, that we have given the scripture to go to, let’s talk about how to let the enemy know that we are going to trust Christ Jesus for our escape and deliverance.

Conclusion

Have you ever just sat down and told the enemy to leave you alone? I have, and it works, because he is out to make you sad, feel weary, have fear, and feel destitute. The mind is a powerful tool that we must use as Christians to let the one who tries to dictate our day with the negative, that he cannot control what we feel.

As one scripture states; we have the mind of Christ, (1 Corinthians 2: 16) and we need to let Satan know that we have the power within us to fight our battles with God’s full representation and His words of deliverance.

We must realize that just because we are saved, we are not exempt from the processes of life, and then not until we walk the last mile. Yes, we have many promises and it is necessary to take advantage of those promises by speaking the Word of God to the negative force.

Thank God there is deliverance,
