Daily Devotional: Faith Over Fear

Daily Devotional-Faith over Fear-starts here;
Fear tries to shrink our faith, but God calls us to stand firm and trust Him, even when the outcome is uncertain. Where there is Faith without doubt, there is God. As we have stated in our prior Devotional, God’s promises are true; He does not lie, cheat, or steal. His ways are proven over and over again.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Reflection:

Fear is not from God. Faith grows when we replace fearful thoughts with His truth. The more we focus on His power and love, the less room fear has in our hearts.
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3
Closing Thought:
Faith is the antidote to fear — choose trust over worry today.
Here is a method to help you with fear:
- Week 1 – Recognizing Fear: Identify areas where fear is holding you back and journal about how these fears affect your daily decisions. Reflect on God’s promises that counter these anxieties.
- Week 2 – Renewing the Mind: Commit to memorizing 2 Timothy 1:7 and meditate on it each morning. Practice replacing fearful thoughts with affirmations of God’s power, love, and sound mind.
- Week 3 – Walking in Courage: Step out in faith in a practical area of your life—whether it’s starting a conversation, sharing encouragement, or praying boldly. Record your experiences and how your trust grows.
- Week 4 – Living Faithfully: Develop Habits That Cultivate Lasting Faith. Surround yourself with an uplifting community, participate in group prayer, and continue daily devotionals that strengthen your trust in God.
Let this be a journey from fear to faith—a path illuminated by God’s truth and sustained by His presence every step of the way.
Prayer
Lord, when fear rises in me, help me stand on Your promises. Fill me with courage and trust in Your unfailing love. Let me draw nearer to you daily by keeping your commandments and living a life of proof that Your Love Abides forever.
Amen
