This is How Jesus Forgives -Question-Are You Dealing With Yesterday- post update 7-25-23

If you are dealing with yesterday, I just wanted to drop in and tell you Jesus loves you unconditionally. Yesterday is gone, it will never return, you have today, and this is how Jesus forgives. Tomorrow is uncertain, so live today just as His Word tells you.

We all have yesterdays that can be troubling, however, what we do is ask God’s forgiveness, forgive ourselves, and sin no more. The latter “sin no more” is what Jesus told the woman who was caught in adultery. Her accusers suggested that she be stoned. This is how Jesus Forgives…keep reading.

In the Bible in those days, stoning was the punishment…

These people were making themselves judges, and they TEMPTED JESUS for being judges without sin themselves: his answer was…

V 4: “They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

V 6: This they said, tempting him that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

V 7: So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

V 8: And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

V 9: And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

V 10: When Jesus had lifted up himself and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath, no man condemned thee?

V 11: She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8: 6-11

The above is only one instance…

This, however, reassures anyone that Jesus’ love extends to all sins no matter how great or how small. If you read the verse above, Jesus was tempted because these people had no authority to judge this woman.

Very often Satan tried to dim our view because of yesterday. He wants to destroy our present day with regrets, whys, what-ifs, and how do I rise above the yesterday? When you lift your voice to heaven with the confession of your sins and those yesterdays that you regret, with a sincere heart, your yesterday is gone forever with Jesus. He does not hold you hostage, to yesterday, He never has, and He never will.

Remember the thief on the cross; what were his words?

“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43

Very often, we make decisions in our life that can affect us in the now. Those are the things we deal with that are not easy to forget, as they make our today harder. I have a few of those things, we all have some yesterday’s decisions that affect our life now.

The Lord is My Salvation and Strength-this applies to you when you seek His forgiveness…

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord, Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” Isaiah 12: 2

“I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.” Psalms 118:21

We have great salvation that He manifests toward those who seek Him and trust in Him. There is nothing too great for His power to conquer and set you free from all of the yesterdays. Jesus does not take a fine-tooth comb and go over your past life as some people do. He knows our sins, and He died for the sinner. He is not willing for any man to perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The above brings us to John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I give a lot of scripture in my writing and that is because I want you to know that it is not just me saying words. It is the Words of God that will redeem and satisfy your longing to be free of your yesterdays. God is good, He is everlasting, and He will not forsake you, or leave you if you keep your trust in Him. This is how Jesus forgives…
